Jennie-this is a wonderful piece. I laughed and cried at the same time. (laxative story) My 85 year old mom's dog brings her so much joy and is also a brat. Freckles barks and barks at people and my mom thinks it's OK. My mom also brings Freckles everywhere....even in a car where dogs really aren't welcome. She would rather ask for forgiveness than ask permission. So she just doesn't ask! Thank you for sharing your writing. SMO
